English Course Exemption Exam Announcement

An English Exemption Exam will be held on Thursday, October 2nd, between 11:00 and 11:50, for newly enrolled students who wish to be exempt from English 1 (ING101) and English 2 (ING102) courses offered by UZEM in the 2025-2026 academic year. Taking the exemption exam is optional and not mandatory. Only newly enrolled students (excluding those enrolled in the Department of Translation and Interpreting) are eligible to apply. Applications other than these will not be accepted.

Students wishing to apply for the Exemption Exam must submit a petition to their registered department (Faculty/College/Vocational School) by 5:00 PM on Thursday, September 25, 2025. No petitions will be accepted after September 25, 2025. The list of students taking the exam and exam location information will be announced by the departments (Faculty/College/Vocational School) where the students are enrolled. Students who score at least 60 out of 100 on the exam will be exempt from the English course.
